"In 2001, over a thousand love letters
written during World War II
were found in my grandmother's attic..."

The War Letters had a workshop performance in October of 2021
The War Letters is inspired by the real collection of over a thousand love letters written between my grandparents during World War II. The play uses these letters to tell not only the story of my grandparents' relationship, but to also delicately trace my grandmother's experience of late-stage Alzheimer's disease.
The War Letters dives into my grandmother's fractured mind, creating an otherworldly experience of memory where nothing is quite what it seems… until the words on her letters have
finally disappeared.
In the end, audiences discover the hope, beauty, and magic that remain, even in the scattered, fragmented moments at the end of a life…
